Job Responsibilities:

We are seeking a highly organized, goal-oriented Manager to join our start-up organization. In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing all administrative functions in the business, while leading and directing employees to achieve the founders’ goals in a timely and cost-effective manner.

You will assist with developing robust strategies for the growth of the business across Nigeria and the African Continent.

General Manager Job Duties:

  • Assign team members to various tasks and projects
  • Estimate and implement program budgets
  • Set program controls/governance/standards
  • Manage the day-to-day detailed aspects of multiple projects
  • Solve problems and issues
  • Track program progress
  • Evaluate and supervise multiple projects
  • Set objectives to maximize ROI
  • Prepare and present progress and budget reports to directors
  • Assist team members when needed to accomplish team goals
  • Accomplishes objectives by establishing plans, budgets, and results measurements; allocating resources; reviewing progress; making mid-course corrections.
  • Builds company image by collaborating with customers, government, community organizations, and employees; enforcing ethical business practices.
  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.

General Manager Skills and Qualifications:

    1. Bachelor’s degree in management, business or related field; Masters (MA or MSc) in business or related field preferred.
    2. 5+ years’ previous experience in program management, project management, administration, or related field
    3. Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite; working knowledge of program/project management software (Basecamp, MS Project)
    4. Knowledgeable in program management methodology and techniques; performance evaluation and change management principles
    5. Experienced at compiling and following strict budgets; Financial Planning and Strategy.
    6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    7. Able to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
    8. Excellent Leadership, Coordination, Strategic Planning, Time Management and decision making
    9. General understanding of how eLearning works and Keeping up-to-date with latest eLearning Trends in the industry
    10. Asset Management and Resource Allocation Skills.
